XPS 15 7590, maximum RAM?

I am not clear about the maximum RAM that the XPS 15 7590 supports. While the specifications page on the Dell website says 64 GB, many forums say that it is only 32 GB. If the unit came with 16 GB of RAM, is the maximum supported RAM 32 GB, or is it 64 GB regardless of the configuration upon purchase?

Welcome to the Dell Community @nathankh

Since you did not mention your CPU I went with the low end CPU that came with your system.

Intel® Core™ i5-9300H:

64GB  no problem and 128GB is possible???

Best regards,

U2

@DELL-Chris M

Thanks for confirming what is in the manual and what Crucial has listed.

I think 128GB is the max.

Do you know if 128GB will work???

Best regards,

U2

They are confusing total ram supported versus two memory stick configurations supported. We only support 64GB ram using a twox32GB configuration. We only support what you see in the online XPS 15 7590 Setup and Specifications PDF.

Total ram = 64GB /configuration = Twox32GB

Those Forums who stated only a 32GB maximum must have had a single 16GB memory stick.
Total ram = 32GB /configuration = Twox16GB

My computer’s CPU is a six-core Intel i7 9750H.
