XPS 15, black screen

https://m.imgur.com/i8vZ2Mw Is this a common issue with this laptop? This happens on start up every time, it has previously worked and there is no damage to the laptop at all - this has only just happened Thanks

    Still nothing! White patch and black screen to the right, Could the display be faulty? Chris

    Run a screen diagnostic - hold D through powerup.

    Does the same fault show?

    If the diagnostic doesn't show a good screen, then it's the screen (assembly) you'll need to replace (or if under warranty, call Dell for replacement of it).
