XPS 17 9720, screen problem

I have tried two XPS 9720s (1 new, 1 from the outlet), and both have the exact same problem where when you scroll you keep seeing a 'crack' in the image that looks like a break in ice. As you scroll down, it moves up then disappears, but before long the distortion appears again, and so on. I have tried drivers from Dell and from device manufacturers. I also did a non-Dell Windows clean install from USB. Does anyone know a fix for this? One pc was the i7, while the other is the i9. They had different Nvidia cards. Help!
