XPS13 9310 Boot Loop
Hello,
I have a 1 year old (3 weeks out of warranty) 9310 and just today it started to boot loop. I usually connect into this laptop via Remote Desktop and had no problem doing it this morning. I needed to reboot and now it is stuck on the dell logo, then restarts, stuck on dell logo, etc. I cannot get into the bios (f2/f12).
It is blinking 3 amber and 6 white on the status light, which in the service guide says "System BIOS Flash incomplete". This doesn't make sense as I have not updated the BIOS in several weeks and have used it every day since.
I am about to take off the back cover and pull the battery - but any other ideas?
Thanks

To Turn off press and hold down the power button. No need to remove battery.
Wait a bit before restarting normally.

I tried holding the power button for 30 secs, while it would shut down, when it would restart the same problem occurred.
If it is plugged in, it will continue the boot loop cycle infinitely - when on battery it will cycle once through and then stay off.

Update - removing the battery cable from the battery to motherboard did not fix the issue. Is there any way to get into the bios?

If you haven't tried a BIOS recovery, that would be next if you have the system back.
https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000132453/how-to-recover-the-bios-on-a-dell-computer-or-tablet
If that doesn't work, an alternate repair option is www.parts-people.com
No, it won't be inexpensive (it will be well over $500 all-in) but they may have the parts and can do the repair for a flat $100 fee over the cost of a board.

Just wanted to close out this topic. Ended up sending the laptop into Dell for paid diagnostic. Tech confirmed the motherboard needed to be replaced. I paid for the repair and then 2 weeks later they said the part was not available and are shipping the laptop back to me not repaired (refunding the repair cost at least).
I have been without a system for 1 month - which was fine if I was getting a fixed machine, but instead I am right back where I started down 40 bucks in shipping costs.
So basically, I have a laptop that is 3 weeks out of warranty and Dell's answer to me is "sorry we cant fix it". This will be my last dell system I purchase.

There is no command/keyboard combination I can do to get into the BIOS and it doesn't go into autorecovery. The tech confirmed the motherboard as the problem as well.
Thanks for the link to that site, but they don't have the parts either. I will likely sell the machine for parts as all of the other components still work fine.
I am looking at an HP Envy instead.
