XPS15 9560 - Trackpad Bulging When Hot
I use the laptop with a dell WD15 dock. 90% of the time both the barrel charger and the USB-C cable from the dock is plugged in charging it as well.
I've noticed that after intense use, the laptop gets VERY hot, and then after that usage session the trackpad will seem not clicky at all, especially in the bottom corners where it's normally the clickiest.
Typing on it now, a while after an intense usage period, the trackpad seems normal and just as clicky as it once was (With maybe a little bit lost due to wear and tear).
Is this a sign of a faulty battery? I also experience pretty bad throttling but I know this is normal with these laptops.
FYI when I called Dell support they said it's out of warranty and it would cost over $600 CAD for me to get it fixed by them. This is obviously out of the question as even if the laptop didn't have issues, I could probably only sell it for around that much anyway.
I just want to use my laptop. Any help appreciated.

Remove the battery and dispose of it safely. When batteries are at the end of life they can swell, overheat and even catch fire. Use the adapter alone which will make the laptop a desktop replacement. Replace the computer when you can or when you need the mobility of a laptop. Dell Batteries for models like yours are out of stock permanently but it is not worth replacing it anyway even if you could.
