Aurora R11 arrived, initial impressions
I've had some reservations about the system after reading some reports. First thing I did was open the case to check for connections and hardware. Everything was as it should be. There was some foam packaging in the one drive bay, but no big deal.
Everything started fine. I was worried my fans weren't working because of how silent the system is even on performance settings. It's pretty quiet. Doesn't have the high pitch whine I've heard on some videos. Even on performance the top fan only goes to 40% and intake to 25%. I wonder if that's an issue?
I'm really impressed by the alienware control center. Think it's the first proprietary software I've seen that wasn't bad.
I'll post further impressions after I try with it a bit.
As an aside I got S2721DGF monitor with it and this monitor is fantastic. I recommend checking it out.

I haven't gotten into anything demanding yet. Been installing and updating things mostly. I did get final fantasy 14 downloaded and maxed out at 1440p it looked pretty good. The gpu never went over 47 Celsius while set to balanced.
I'm slightly concerned my fans don't sound like what I've seen in videos. Even on performance they aren't loud.
