My 9 month old Alienware AW3420DW has been acting up all weirdly all of a sudden. I have not changed anything to it but now notice excessive popping and creaking from all places of the monitor. Initially I disregarded this as thermal expansion of plastics but this is occurring way too often now. Even when the AW3420DW is off after extended periods of time. I also notice a low high pitch whine noise coming from the base of the AW3420DW which I had not picked up before. The AW3420DW is connected to a powerboard but this has never been the issue before. Some troubleshooting I have tried include adjusting the brightness, removing the power plug from the AW3420DW and resetting it to factory settings. Also the popping and creaking sounds are occurring all over the AW3420DW. The AW3420DW is connected to my PC via DisplayPort. The PC is a custom built desktop running on Windows 10 through an Nvidia GTX 660 Ti but this should not be the issue as the AW3420DW is also making sounds long after everything is switched off 7+ hours later.
