The User's Guide mentions the option to disable the pixel/panel refresh "Auto Warning Message" under "OLED Panel Maintenance" but I can't find it anywhere.
I'm using firmware M0B101 and can't find any firmware updates online or update options via Alienware Command Center.
Does anyone know of any firmware updates that may add this option, or how to disable the super annoying warning message that gets in the way of things like the primary purpose of gaming?
I can't believe that Dell / Alienware would force this message popup that could completely mess up your competitive gaming session (e.g., right in the middle of an intense FPS fight).
The current online AW3423DW User's Guide (revision A01, April 2022) shows the Menu options for AW3423DW firmware versions NEWER than M0B101.
M0B101 never had the "Menu- Others- OLED Panel Maintenance- Auto Warning Message = On/Off" option.
On newer firmware AW3423DW, even if you set “Menu- Others- OLED Panel Maintenance- Auto Warning Message = Off”, if the accumulated usage time exceeds 4 hours, Pixel Refresh will be activated automatically when the monitor goes into Standby mode and/or if you press the power button.
The Displays Team stated that the AW3423DW firmware cannot be upgraded by customers. This is why you do not see any firmware updates or a firmware update guide on the AW3423DW drivers page.
The AW3423DW Drivers & Downloads does not provide any firmware updates. The AWCC (Alienware Command Center) would never offer a monitor firmware update.
Get a picture of your AW3423DW Menu- Others. Scrub out the Service Tag. Then post it so we can compare the picture to what the online AW3423DW User's Guide shows.
I'm guessing the SN is unique similar to the service tag so I'd rather not post the SN publicly unless you're sure there's zero risk/repercussions for doing so.
