It doesn't give me a option to overclock in the BIOS? Other models have the option to overclock in performance as follows; overclock 1 2 3. All I see is something for the fans and that's it?
That is only for the GPU -- and I would be very wary of overclocking the GPU, since were it to fail, the entire mainboard would need replacement -- a very expensive eventuality.
Ok thats about what I thought too the fellow i purchased it from a year ago had it listed as turbo Obviously still very green but I'm having some fun in the hobby getting my feet wet! Appreciate all the help its been very nice being able to chat with you on this subject!
This is odd... I have a similar model (i7 - 6700 HQ) and in my BIOS I have an option to enable CPU performance mode - as well as fan performance mode - that boosts my 2.6 GHz to around 3.2 GHz.
Dang very interesting and frustrating i may have to take it to a shop to troubleshoot 1 please keep me updated if you should happen to have any other ideas and have a very marry Christmas your computer friend Joseph!

In order to allow overclocking, you must have a "K" CPU - such as the i7-7820HK.
You cannot overclock the HQ CPU you have -- not with the Alienware overclocking control, anyway.
