17 R5, dropped coffee, not charging
hello, so i unfortunately dropped coffee on my AW 17 r5. it operates normally but it doesn't charge anymore. problem is that i live in Lebanon in the middle east and i bought the laptop from usa. now i can't find anyone to fix my laptop:( does anyone know any solution? Please help.

STOP USING THE LAPTOP YOUR GONNA MESS IT UP EVEN MORE.
Get some 70% alcohol and q tips and some towels plus a can of compressed air.Clean it thoroughly On the outside and turn the laptop off.

Why would the laptop need a new main board replacement?
If it stopped charging it could just be the power jack got after the coffee.

Unplug the system, disconnect the battery from the system board and hold the power button for 30 sec. It isn't clear what part of the system was affected, but it'd be a good time to check: if the keyboard got wet, remove it and check underneath. Clean accordingly. Then try powering up again and see if the battery will charge.
Unfortunately, if the system was powered on when this happened, the most likely result is likely a blown power circuit. If that happened, you're in for a replacement mainboard - and because of the nature of the system, likely in for a part that cost somewhere between $800 and just over $1,000 depending on the CPU and GPU aboard.
Just about any computer shop can change a board for you.
