m15 R2, AGA discontinued?

Is the AGA (Alienware Graphics Amplifier) discontinued for good? Or until/IF a new version of it comes out? If I can't find any more of these kinds of GPU, I want an external one to use with my Alienware m15 R2?

    Dell is no longer selling the 2014 released AGA (Alienware Graphics Amplifier) on our websites. When I go here and search for, "Alienware Graphics Amplifier", there is not a sales link. When I go here, the AGA is also not listed. When customizing Alienware Laptops (m15 R3/m15 R4/m17 R3/m17 R4/Area-51m R2), the AGA is not listed under Accessories.

    all I'm saying is that the AGA finally is getting fixed since it wasn't able to read the RTX 30 series cards when people started putting in there
    * 1/2 false.
    The EOL (end of life) AGA is not going to be validated by Dell with the RTX 3080/3090 due to wattage issues. In the future, the AGA will be supported with the RTX 3070 which is why the m15 R4/m17 R4 still have the rear AGA port.

    so don't worry it'll be back.
    * False. The AGA is EOL.

    Yeah, they're making a new one though that supports the 3070 and maybe the 3080/3090 if the PSU is bigger.

    Quick Tip: If your laptop has voltage / charging issues, try shutting it down, unplugging power from laptop, hold power button down for 30 seconds to do a full reset!

    From what Dell Alienware source did you get that data? That is not what I have been told.

    Well Chris, I'm just guessing as that's what a kid would always do. Its just the thought of having a new graphics amp replace the 2014 one and add support for the 3070 brought those thoughts to me.

    One would think they would introduce a new AGA since the new R4 has the port for it. If not, I am going to be upset since the graphics are good but not great on these laptops. I want a good docking station/ e-GPU and TB and USB 3 still can't put enough data through to run a 4k 120Hz or 144Hz monitor. And the graphics cards that are on laptop won't drive it either. Need the AGA interface to accomplish this.

    @polarspark, my thought exactly. Why put an EOL port on the new laptops? Truly hope there will be an AGA equivalent option, although it'll be a while before a 3000 series desktop GPU will be available without luck/preorder/lottery...
