m15 R5, 240W power connector not fully inserting?

I received my m15 R5 with 240W power adapter recently.  When I connect the power connector to charge the laptop, the connector plug (metal part) doesn't go fully inside the laptop power port.  I can still see a sliver of the metal part of the connector outside the laptop.

I don't think the connector plug can go any further in the laptop port, so seems the connector plug length is bit too long.

Is this normal for this laptop? or did i receive wrong power connector plug with my laptop?

Thanks!

Hi @sockssocks ac adapter and dc-in port come from many sources and there will be manufacturing variations. The dc power cable's plug should have positive captivation engagement, even when laptop has small movement. If dc plug does not fall out and laptop battery is charging, then this arrangement is acceptable. Sharing a photograph or video would help, but from your description, it seems fine.
