m15 R6, AC adapter not working
My alienware ac adapter suddenly stopped working. The led indicator also not lighting up. It's connected but no light. Have checked no damage as well. Not sure why it happened.

Hi @irajeshrauniyar welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum.
Laptop has microchip protection system to stop ac adapter and/or replacement internal battery damaging the laptop. Remove any external connections, USB, HDMI, etc. during testing.
(1) When ac adapter (charger) connected to mains does diagnostic LED work? (If No. Check plug mains fuse. Try different mains socket.)
(2) When ac adapter (charger) connected to laptop, does diagnostic LED stop working? (If Yes. Does laptop stop charging battery? Is dc plug's central wire bent or missing? Has battery been replaced? Is laptop's dc power-in port damaged, poor electrical connection?)
(3) Does OEM replacement ac adapter reinstate working diagnostic LED and battery charging?

Hi @irajeshrauniyar thank you for sharing additional information.
It seems that internal microchip does not work. The fix is a new OEM ac adapter. Is original ac adapter power wattage sufficient, or take this opportunity to get higher power wattage?

1. I tried connecting ac adapter to different port or socket but still the led doesn't turn on.
2. Laptop doesn't charge tried connecting many times, the led on charger doesn't light up. no problem with my laptop battery. It's the charger. Couldn't see any wire damage as well.

Hi @irajeshrauniyar thank you for sharing image of ac adapter label.
It seems that this DP/N G5K8G is available in the United Kingdom only which is encountering electrical grid supply problems. We have surge and spike protected house sockets.

Hi @irajeshrauniyar internet search did not find new Alienware G5K8G - 240W 19.5V 12.3A.
The alternative is DELL PA-9E - AC Adapter 19.5V 12.3A 240W, example DELL PA-9E - AC Adapter 19.5V 12.3A 240W includes power cable (12 warranty) : Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories, or Dell FWCRC Laptop Charger | Softhands Solutions Ltd.

Is there any in Australia. Do I need to buy same or any different with 240w would be alright. Found some on ebay but not sure if they're quite genuine.

Hi @irajeshrauniyar yes. Internet search Australia for DELL PA-9E and/or Dell AC Adapter 19.5V 12.3A 240W, o/d 7.4mm i/d 5.0mm barrel with central wire, found AC Adapters for sale on amazon.com.au, dell.com/en-au, etc.
