FSN Question

Good Evening...I have an FSN Device that is made up of:

CGE0 and CGE1 in an LACP Pair - Primary

CGE2 as stand alone port - Secondary

Current State is the follwoing:

[nasadmin@celerra-cs ~]$ server_sysconfig server_2 -virtual -info fsn1
server_2 :
*** FSN fsn1: Link is Up ***
active=cge2 primary=iscsi_tk standby=cge2
The active should be iscsi_tk. For whatever reason, cge2 is active and is causing performance issues with iSCSI LUN access traffic. I have verified that there are no issues with the attached switches...the Celerra shows on error states. Is there a way to manually change the active back to iscsi_tk?
Thank you.

    Hi,

If the primary link is iscsi_tk, the trafiic should come back to it when became back online.

Check the status of the link on cge0 and cge1, and also the port group on the switch. If they are all up, there is nor reason for the traffic keeps on cge2.

There is an option when creating the FSN to not choose a primary device, so it would stay on the active one until it fails, but it does not seems to be your case.

    Good morning.

Could you post the output of the following:  "server_sysconfig server_2 -v -i iscsi_tk "   Let's verify the trunk is up and connected.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    I would suggest:

look at the Celerra interface stats

    do a server_ping  server_2 -interface iscsi_tk

    server_ifconfig server_2 iscsi_tk down

    server_ifconfig server_2 iscsi_tk up

from experience - most likely the problem is with your switch or config and not the Celerra FSN code
