XAM Access methods
Which methods do I have to access emc centera per XAM?
1. XRI + PEA file -> connect and authenticate to XSystem
2. XRI -> Connect to XSystem -> authenticate to the XSystem
But in step 2, how will the authentication look like? Maybe an example for this authentication would be nice.
3. ???
Is it possible to connect to more then one XAM gate for a session?
Or what will happen if the gate I still connected to is not longer available?
Have my application to recognize this? And must my application connect himself to another gate?

Hello Ralf -
The xsystemname portion of a centera_vim XRI supports the full syntax of the Centera connection string; basic examples are included in the Centera VIM Guide and a full explanation of this syntax can be found in our SDK Reference Guide under 'FPPool_Open'.
For the case where you wish to pass authentication data to the XSystem directly, this is also described in the 'XSystem Authentication' section of the VIM Reference Guide. The byte array you pass in to XSystem_Authenticate is a SASL PLAIN authentication sequence in this format:
