Problem resizing LUN

Hi,

When I try resize a LUN the follow message appears:

"You cannot change LU capacity at this time.
Selected LU is being used by a feature of the Storage system.
The LUNs you have chosen will be reserved for a future growth of this LU."

I have seen what feature is used by this LUN and the result is:

/opt/Navisphere/bin/navicli -h emc_ip getlun -messner 0 -stack
Listed Driver: K10SnapCopyAdmin

But when I try to stop this process (snapcopy) give me this error:

/opt/Navisphere/bin/navicli -h emc_ip setfeature -off -feature sancopy -lun 0
Error: setfeature command failed
This version of Core Software does not support SAN Copy

Can anyone help?

Regards,
Fernando

Just to be clear, it looks like you found SNAPcopy running but were trying to turn off SAN Copy.

    Was this just a typo?

I have seen this once before on one of our systems, and the answer from Engineering was to reboot both SPs (one at a time). I don't really like that answer, but it worked.

I would open a case with EMC Support first, to see if there is any workaround in your case.

A typo in my eyes, thanks I tryed to turn off the wrong feature.

But, the snapview feature don't terminate:

navicli -h emc_ip setfeature -off -feature snapview -lun 0
navicli -h emc_ip getlun  0 -stack (these commands require Support)
    Listed Driver: K10SnapCopyAdmin

navicli -h emc_ip setfeature -off -featurename K10SnapCopyAdmin -lun 0 (these commands require Support)
navicli -h emc_ip getlun 0 -stack (these commands require Support)
    Listed Driver: K10SnapCopyAdmin

As per my understanding, All the session related to that lun must be stopped and the clones needs to be fractured.

stopping snapshot sessions and fracturing clones is only the first step. snapshots and clone relations must be removed. performing these operations should be fairly straight-forward.

    navicli -h emc_ip snapview -listsnapableluns
    Name SAMBA
    Name LDAP

How I remove from this list the SAMBA ?

    I try'ed with:

navicli -h emc_ip snapview -deactivatesnapshot -snapshotname SAMBA -o
    Error: snapview command failed
    Invalid snapshot
    Snapshot does not exist

    I don't have active sessions:
navicli -h emc_ip snapview -listsessions -all
    No online sessions exist.

    Regards,

Well, I do it via navisphere.... Via command line I don't now.

My Problem is resolved, thanks everyone.
