brocade ds-300b license

Hi all,

Does DS-300B Brocade model have region lock for license? like Ports activation something..?

want to know is Brocade 300 are included with buffer credit that allows unlimited data transmission..

Hello,

The DS-300B does use licensing for the ports. I'm not finding anything in the documentation to indicate the presence of a region lock, however. I would recommend contacting Sales for assistance acquiring licensing.

I don't understand the second part of your post, unfortunately. If you can clarify what you're looking for, I may be able to further assist.

I can only recommend contacting Sales. This product is not in my parts database and isn't listed on the public Sales page. With the age of the platform, they may not have it available, either.

Hi HafizDotNet,

The Connectrix DS-300B, has indeed a port-on-demand licenses.

Originally it comes with 8 enabled 8G ports, and 16 ports (in groups of eights) can be enabled with a Port-On_Demand licenses.

I have no idea what you mean with a "regional lock"...

Regards you question on "unlimited buffer credits", I believe the 300B has 500 buffers in total for the whole switch.
