I spent about an hour on Dell site building my computer to what I wanted. I went to add a coupon that was put into my final verify page and it wouldn't accept it so I called customer service to find out why. After the computer link I was transferred to a person I couldn't understand. after 5 minutes I got the idea across I was buying a computer for home and I was transferred to another person I could just understand and spent 30 minutes getting it understood what I wanted and making suggestions like her looking at my  shopping cart to see what I had ordered to apply the discount to ETC. She finally caught onto the idea and after being placed on hold twice she came back on. I told her I would be using my Citi card. Hold again. She came back on and said she would give me an extra 50.00 discount if I would use my Dell account so I sais ok. Hold again. She came back on and then I had to provide her with all of my personal data to gain access to my account. Hold again. 5 minute wait again. She came back on and said that since I hadn't used the card for 5 years that it had been closed. I never received any notice of this. I have been a Dell customer for the last 14 years buying parts and upgrades as well as 2 major systems over 4k each.So here we go again She has to get all of my information again and tells me the interest rates with all of the default rates and penalties and then starts with "How much is your mortgage payment". That was it. I don't need a new line of credit I had already offered to pay for the item. Now I am not sure I will buy again so they lose a 3500.00 sale? I'm not sure I'll be back if none of this can be resolved.
