Hello Dell Community. I am currently typing this with my laptop touch screen while monitoring the fan (I took the keyboard off) because it has been acting up lately and I do not know why.

It first happened around a month or two ago. It started making these weird ticking noises as if it was off balance. It happened once or twice before I opened it up to take a look. Nothing was in there and I attacked it with some compressed air. It on and off would do the ticking ONLY when the fan revved up suddenly for a second. Now it's weirder.

It has also done this before in the past, but sometimes it starts to speed up randomly. It never does this when I'm gaming, either. Always during very minor tasks like watching a video or sitting idle. I never get to check Task Manager because I would hate for it to cause any damage.

I'm running off of 16GB of RAM, Intel Core i7 6600U @ 2.50GHz, and just installed a new SSD that I have yet to load up with my files from a failing HDD. My antivirus is 360 Total Security and I have to start scans myself, so it shouldn't suddenly drop a huge workload on me. I also know it's the fan because...well...I'm looking right at it as I type.

Anyways, has this been happening to any of my 5559 family or just me? Does anyone have any ideas? I have a laptop cooling tray full blast and my laptop fan still isn't spinning right now (It does, though). I'm going to try and launch something performance heavy and see what happens. I'll comment below.
