My laptop is not charging when I plug in the charger. The charging Led blinks at first and then its off. It is not charging above 4% and is working on that much power with a connected AC adaptor. Giving a message "Alert  the AC adaptor wattage and type can not be determined . The battery may not charge. The system will adjust the performance to match the power available. "

I showed it to a local shop. They advised to change the motherboard .

What can I do with help of dell so that minimum charged are required to repair the laptop.
