Dell 1525 Wireless Connection

Hello,
I have just received a 1525 laptop with Ubuntu installed. Everything seems to be working ok but I cannot connect to my wireless network. The network is picked up by the computer, but when selected it shows a 0% signal. Can anyone please help me get connected? It seems like it may be a router issue, since the wireless card is able to find the router, just not connect. I do not have an encrypted network, so this isn't a password or key problem.
Thank you!

is it a wep network? wep sometimes has problems with network manager... maybe you could try working with disabling wep and moving on to WPA (its more secure too...)
