Alienware M18x overheating issues
Mine has blown up 3 times. Literally. Flame, smoke, the works. Had it fixed under warranty each time, but I really don't expect it to last this time either. This last time it blew out, it was sitting on a cooling stand with 3 fans blowing air into it. I clean it every few months. It doesn't freeze or shutdown on its own before it blows up.
It's got 2 Nvidia 560M GPUs in SLI mode, and so far those are what seem to go out.
I just got it back from being repaired so I'm looking for suggestions on how to keep it cool so that it doesn't blow up again.

Hi,
Check the tips in this article. I would also recommend you download and install HWmonitor to check on the CPU and GPU temperatures.
