No, the C521 heatsink assembly is a Dell proprietary unit.

I doubt that you will find 'brand' new C521 heatsink assemblies available, only so-called refurbished, or used heatsinks, like the unit HERE

Having never tried anything like it, :emotion-42:. Maybe there could be a risk of overheating and fire with the PSU inside a wooden box.
Would I do what you propose, no I would not.

Dunno, never tried it, I can't see why it would not work, providing the cables are long enought to reach the connectors, but it sure would look like heck. :emotion-4:
