Audigy 2/ Creative Mediasource problem
I recently downloaded that latest driver for the Audigy 2 card from the Creative website not realising that i should only download drivers for this from Dell as it is a manufacturer card. Ever since installing this driver i have had no sound and the media source software isn't working correctly. I can't find the disk for my old drivers and the only Driver available from Dell is a patch/ upgrade with a name of R80459. This still does not solve the problem of no sound and i cannot uninstall or operate the mediasource software. Any advice?

are u using vista? explain the exact problem u r having with media source playerSystem Restore won't work. I've been trying various different restore points for days now and it still is looking to install new hardware (Audigy 2 card). The exact problem i'm having with Mediasource is that upon startup i get the message, "Unable to load user interface. Please re-install application". When i clock on the mediasource volume button, i get "unable to load needed components. Please re-install application". I just need to get the old drivers i think and the creative mediasource software and do a fresh install. Sadly, i can't uninstall mediasource or the audigy 2 drivers as it says a file is missing.
I'm running XP.

Usually, the Retail SoundBlaster Audigy 2ZS drivers work OK on a Dell card.
However, use the System Restore function and restore the PC to a date PRIOR to downloading/installing the SoundBlaster updates and see if that restores everything. System Restore can be accessed under Accessories/System Tools.
