I have a dimension 8400 with a ATI 128MB PCI-Express x16 (DVI/VGA/TV-out) Radeon X300 SE driver. when i try to run games it says "a critical error has occurred while initializing directdraw"

What do i need to do? Any help would be appreciated. thanks
