Driver error

My video card is x800 se on dell 8400 using win xp home ed. I installed the omega drivers 4.12 and they seem to work but when i try to go in the "advance 3d tab" i get an error {An expection occurred while trying to run "c:\system32\shell32.dll,control_rundll" c:\window\system32\desk.cpl",display"} I don't know what that means but all the other tabs work. I've tried reinstalling the drivers but same error occurs when i try to enter 3d tab. I also used driver cleaner to uninstall old drivers. Do i need to install microsoft.netframe to work?

I was using the ati drivers before the omega, they did work. However i was only using the control panel version because i don't like the netframe.net that is required with the catalyst version. I switch to the omega because they claim to be "optimize" and i figure it was worth a try. I don't know why that tab doesn't work in the omega version. The drivers installed correctly and everything seems fine [games work, graphics in general work]. I just want to be able to go in that 3d tab, so I can change the direct 3d and other 3d options. Thanks for your quick reply.

try using the drivers off of Ati's website and see if they work.

You only need .Net 1.1  Framework if you decide to use the Catalyst Control Center

Don't know if this has anything to do with it, but the "advanced smartgart options" doesn't seem to work either. Does anyone know what this error reffers to? An exception occurred while trying to run:

    "c:\windows\system32\shell32.dll\,control_rundll"c:\windows\system32\desk.cpl",display"

Well i figured out the problem. After reading the forums at omega's website, it seems that new/beta version of radlinker has some problems. Solution is to just install the previous radlinker version and the error goes away. Gezz I feel like i was just talking to myself in this post :) But I hope if someone has the same error, they can just look at this post.
