How necessary is a firewall? I use the internet for email, viewing websites, and occasionally buying a few items around the holadays.  I took the Symantec Security Risk Test, and I failed a few of the tests.  They were able to retreive my name and a few other pieces of information on my computer.  It kind of scared me, because anyone with the right skills could get the information.  It probably is very unlikley, but is possible.  Is it necessary to have a firewall? Thank You!
