Low battery message

Received my XPS600 a week ago. Everything works fine except just the other day upon boot up I got a low battery alert with the command to press F1 to continue. I press F1 and everything boots up fine. I have replaced 3 batteries and also checked them with a meter to know they were good. Tech support was friendly enough but not very helpful. They sent me a new battery.
Any ideas as to what is causing this?

    Did you update the BIOS after you received your system?

    And did the low battery message begin after the update?

    yes I believe the latest bios is A06?  That is the one I have

    What originally happened was my system locked up once on boot up.  I attempted to get it running about 3-4 times before it booted up.  I then went to this forum and happened to read that the A06 bios was causing potential problems so I downloaded the previous version (A03).  That didn't solve the lock up so I reinstalled A06.  Then I noticed the thread about disabling the fast boot and made those changes.  The boot ups are now fine, however somewhere in all this process the low bat message started to appear?

    Dumb newbie question, where is this battery physically located?

    This may be caused by the grounding protection of certain surge protectors. Belkin power strip and  other surge protectors may cause this.  Try booting without the surge protector.

    Hai the problem is not solved after even replacing the battery then it is modther board problem only

    I had a similar problem (but never did get the system to boot - exchange system is on the way).  Tech support had me remove the battery at one point.  After replacing it, I got Low Battery error.  I checked the manual drawing and it showed the battery was in correct ACCORDING TO THE DRAWING!  when I switched the orientation of the battery to opposite the drawing, the error went away.  The drawing is wrong!!
