Monitor Flickering when open word or excel
I have been having issues with several Dell OptiPlex 3050 small form factor and monitor Dell E1916 the display will start flickering when opening up a word or excel (Microsoft office 2010 & 2013) document or switching from a browser to another program. This just started to happen all of sudden last week. I have checked to make sure that all of the drivers and BIOS is up to date and they are. I was thinking that an update is causing the issue but I restored back but still didn’t fix the issue.
I have set the resolution from 1366 x 768 to 1280 x 1024 (it is working on this resolution)
I wanted to have 1366 x 768 resolution
Anyone have any suggestions?

Try the steps below to see if they will work with the settings you choose but, with a different refresh rate.
open display settings
open advanced display settings
open display adapter settings
choose list all modes.
From here try choosing the display you want but with a different refresh rate. Apply the settings
