Virus? Please Help
Hello,
For the past week or so, I've been receiving a few emails per day from AOL Postmaster, saying that my email could not be sent to the specificied address and was returned, and the returned email is always attached with the Klez 32 virus.
However, I have run Norton AntiVirus, MacAfee AntiVirus, and have even tried Fix Klez, but all of the programs suggest that I don't have the Klez virus. In addition, all of the addresses these emails are sent to are not in my address book, nor have I spoken to them.
So what do I do? I don't seem to have a virus, I keep up a firewall which only lets Outlook access the internet when I give it permission, so I don't know what to do to stop these mails.
Please help, I'm going crazy.

The following is from the Symantec discussion of Klez:
"The subject line, message bodies, and attachment file names are random. The from address is randomly chosen from email addresses that the worm finds on the infected computer."
You are not infected, but someone that has you in their address book is, and the messages are being generated from their computer.

One of the oddities of this worm is that it will send out emails from the infected partys email address book under your email address if it happens to be in there. I went thru the same problem. Thats why these worms propogate themselves so quickly. So you have nothing to worry about, if your virus scan is up to date and cleared you. But sombody you know is likely infected. Kip

I did notice one strange thing though; I looked at one of the "returned" emails and the "To:" box on one of them had two names of someone I had spoken to a long time ago through ICQ, and not even through email. What's more, this was on a previous computer, so unless both of them got the virus and I was in their address book I don't know how to explain it, which is unlikely since the two of them did not know each other. Otherwise, the addresses have all been people I don't know.
But as I mentioned nothing is indicating that I have a virus so I'll just keep my fingers crossed and hope the messages stop coming.
