windows 7

I got a new windows 7 for Christmas. I have a DellST2310 Full High Definition Monitor with it. I never purchased the speaker bar because Dell figured I would use the old one. I found a more reasonable speaker bar an AX510P for $34.95 then I found another AY511 for $69.95. It shows the cheaper one with my monitor. What is the difference in the two speaker bars? . Would the cheaper one work ok with my monitor? Thank you for any help.

We are (mostly) non Dell employees - just users helping users.   The "what do I buy" section of the forum would have been the most appropriate for your "what do I buy" question.

However doing a search it appears the AY511 is the one for your monitor.  The Dell specs list your monitor as compatible.   The AX510 is listed but it says compatible with Dell "E" and "G" series Flat Panel Displays.  Since your is an "ST" I would take that to mean the AX510 is NOT compatible.

However, if you are looking for more than "basic speakers" I would consider a 2.1 speaker system that has the two small speakers and a bass (sub woofer) speaker system.  The soundbar speakers are OK but they are not great.  Here is one review: "This is a decent speaker bar, it does the job okay, but for the money i should have ordered the desktop speakers, the sound is thin, laptop sounding".
