The other day I was forced to reinstall XP Pro on my 8200. Unfortunately I did not have the Dell CD's but had a full version of XP Pro Service Pack 1 that was given to me the other day and just happened to have it in my case. After doing the install I have run into problems with the LCD. If i boot the laptop up in 800x600 i get a "tiled" screen. i get to semi full screens on the left and two partial screens on the right. If i try to raise the settings to 1024 or anything higher, all i get is on line about 1 pixel high across the screen. the only way i can get a "normal" looking screen is to boot in either Safe Mode or XGA Mode ( both options from the safe mode menu during boot up ) but both of those are only 640x480.

I checked the video card in the device manager and it lists the Geforce4 440 card that i have in my 8200 and i do not see any errors listed in the device manager. unfortunately I am having problems also with the network connection so i am unable to get online to even download any of the drivers from Dell for my laptop.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong with my LCD? This is supposedly a brand new LCD screen from Dell since they just replaced it recently so I do not think it is a problem with the screen itself.
