 Per the website:

 The Dell Latitude D420 is listed as compatible with win7.

And it certainly is, as I have installed it without any other issues but one.

 In using an original, pre-made, Dell Windows 7 Professional SP1 (32bit) disk, the operating system properties suggests the OS is “not authentic.”

 I had this same issue with a couple of Optiplex 760s, and updating their BIOS was all that was needed to miraculously become “authentic.”

 So I did the same with the D420, which is now using System BIOS, A06 (02/02/2008).

 Yet, the OS is still complaining.

 By what process might I resolve this issue?
