Dell Genius
My Studio 1747 drive bit the dust. So I got out my repair disk and loaded. Then I hit "eject". Nada. Neither light for touch not the button would eject the CD. So all you geniuses out there, how do I get the disk out so I can put a recovery disk in? (No, it would not talk to any of three external drives with backups.) There is not hole for the paperclip.
For me, I had to remove the drive and load using another PC so that it would boot and see backups on external drives. It took loading Dell Quickset via a flashdrive to be able to eject again.
So, Dell, no way to eject manually?????
