Dell UEFI implementation does not support Linux Kernel EFISTUB boot ?

Hello,

I have a Dell XPS 15 9550 with a Windows/Arch Linux dual boot. I am able to boot Arch Linux using rEFInd but all my attempts to boot it using EFISTUB failed with a kernel panic.

According to this post, the issue is that kernel parameters are not passed by the UEFI implementation at all. Can someone confirm this? Does Dell intend to fix it?

Thanks!

Likely not, since Dell doesn't support Linux on this model.  Where they do support Linux, it's usually Ubuntu.
