Does Memory Upgrade Void Warranty?

I have one year of warranty left on my Studio XPS 1647, and I was wondering if upgrading the RAM in the machine voids the warranty? I'm planning on buying this http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231295

Thanks

No, memory is customer-replaceable -- remove the battery, unplug the system and then replace the memory.  Note that newegg doesn't guarantee compatibility and will charge a restocking fee if the RAM turns out incompatible - be sure you're aware of that.

I think it should work, feedback was left that someone upgraded their Studio XPS 16 with the RAM and it worked fine.
