E6400 blue screen crash when using docking station
Have a Dell E6400 laptop.
Runs fine.
Dock it in the edock and blue screen (bsod) crash followed by reboot attempts.
Found an answer online and it worked.
Go into BIOS and disable two things, both under System Configuration Settings:
Parallel Port - Set to Disabled
Serial Port - Set to Disabled
Then the docking station works. Although you cannot use the "undock" function. You have to shut it down each time.

How do you mean that you cannot use the undock function. I thought that you no longer had to undock in windows with the E6400.Am I wrong?
