hi,

last night i accidentally spilled some curry sauce from a meal i was eating around the left control button of my inspiron 600m.. it's wasn't THAT much that I recall..

anyway, i soaked up as much as i could and popped off the ctrl, Fn, shift, caps lock, a, z, keys and tried getting more out with a damp cloth. i found that certain keys (q, a, z, specifically) were typing strange other combinations as well, so i used a hairdryer and blasted it with cool air for a while and let it dry overnight.

now all the keys are working properly except the z which you have to push a few times to get to work, and the shift key which is finicky and the caps lock key which only works when it wants to.

so anyway, my question: I read a post a few days ago about someone spilling milk and someone replied that it might or might now be a motherboard problem... since practically everything else is doing fine except the shift and caps lock, which, honestly still work you just have to hit them a few times and hard, is it possible that this is a problem which can be easily remedied and is NOT a motherboard issue? if it WAS, wouldn't other things be wrong?

any advice on how to fix this? I want to get my keyboard cleaned anyway since there was so much dust and crap under there anyway, but should i maybe just get a replacement keyboard instead? is that covered under complete care warranty or any other warranty? thanks!

do replacement keyboards come with key scissor springs too? i noticed that one of the pieces of the scissor springs under my ctrl key was cracked.. it still works but i'd rather that be fixed as well.. that wasn't my doing btw.
