High temperature, Please Help. Alienware 15.

My new alienware 15 goes up to 87c when gaming. the game runs smoothly and sometimes goes up to 60 fps on ultra quality, my only concern is the temperature. Could it damage my laptop?

The cpu goes up to 87C

The gpu goes up to 78C

I am using a 180w charger and running on bios version A04.

Specs:

i7 4720hq

Gtx 980m 4gb

16gb ram

Thanks.

    Hi XllDARKNESS,

    >check for CPU and GPU fan RPM.

    >at times the fan may not spin at required rate which could possibily cause overheating.

    >also check check if there is any blockage to the air vents.

    >that's really good that you tried to jump between BIOS versions and finally resolved.

    >but try to check the above mentioned steps, which left unnoticed can create an impact on the machine.

    Ive Fixed it!

I Downgraded to Bios version A02 then Upgraded to A04 then Downgraded to A00 Then Upgraded to A04, Now the cpu wont go above 65C. And the gpu stays at 60C and ive also got better performance.
