how do i disable System Restore?

how do i disable System Restore from the dos command prompt?

    I don't know how to do it from the Command Prompt, but pressing Windows Key + Pause (or going to the control panel and hitting system) should bring up System Properties in there just hit the System Restore tab and check the box labeled "Turn off System Restore"...

    name one good reason to disable system restore...I got to be honest...It has saved me many a times....?

    I never use system restore as it only costs me HD space and CPU time...

    I'm a computer professional so i know very well how to fix any of my problems outside of system restore, so i have never found a use for it...

    well if you must,,then check under the control panel.  You will there find what you are looking for,,,,but with the size of hard drives these days,,,,IT does not really take up that much room>>your I bet  your recycle bin uses more.
