I8100 Firewire and Ghost 2003?

Hi

I have of course searched this forum but didn't find any tips that works for me.

I have been fighting with my I8100, being able to ghost partitions with Norton Ghost 2003 to My Maxtor 250GB firewire disk.

No luck so far. I have tried to use the backup function and also to create a bootfloppy with ghost.

Enabling FW support and adding drive letters.

I have tried adding the drivers EXTCD and MSCDEX as suggested in some entires in the forum.

The 1394 driver that loads during boot, keeps saying that no drives are added, and the disk can't be seen in Ghost.

I have also tried Acronis Trueimage 7, without any luck.

The FW disk does of course work in both my XP and W2K partition.

Any suggestions to what to try?

br Lars

    I backup to image via firewire using the following with Ghost 8.0.0.984:

    AUTOEXEC.BAT:

    @echo off
    lh mouse
    lh guest
    ghost32 -auto -fis -fx

    CONFIG.SYS

    dos=high,umb
    devicehigh=aspi1394.sys /int /all

    Contents of bootable CD:

    aspi1394.sys
    AUTOEXEC.BAT
    COMMAND.COM
    CONFIG.SYS
    gdisk.exe
    GHOST.EXE
    guest.exe
    IO.SYS
    MOUSE.COM

    Hi

    Hmmm.....strange....

    This is basically also what i have, but the aspi1394.sys reports "Adapter not found" when it loads.

    And you have a I8100 also?

    Above works on a I8100, C810 and D800 with an external 3.5" firewire drive.
