LCD Screen
Hello,
I purchased my Dell XPS M1530 laptop last month and within the last week i've noticed that the screen has been acting up. (My screen is the 1490X900 resolution)
When looking at it straight on, the outter edges look not so bright compare to the center, this is especially true in the corners, it's not a huge difference but it's there.
Another thing to add, is if the screen is blank(black screen, lcd still powered on), and i look from the left angle of the screen, it shows a murky cloud on the right side of the screen. I tried calling Dell today and they are closed or something. No support can be given until monday.
Does anyone have this issue?

How long does this take to repair?- Well, Dell refuses to acknowledge that there's actually any issue with the m1530 Samsung screens. So you really can't get it repaired. DO some reaearch and you'll know what I am talking about.
What screen do you have by the way? Go to contorl panel, hardware stuff, device manager, monitor, generic pnp monitor, and then hardware id. Post your results I'll be able to tell you if you don't know.Message Edited by Gfresh404 on 02-10-2008 06:12 PM mike_pasara

I can't find who makes the panel. I tried your method and only says generic display.
Either way. I contacted Dell yesterday and they are sending a whole new system and a packing lable for my ship out this laptop.
Now that's service, if anything I was epecting to send in my laptop and wait a few days/week or more to get mine back and be without anything. They are jsut replacing the whole thing. Pretty happy with that.
