M1530 Screen Physically Seperated When Opened
Ok, so here's the problem: When I first opened my M1530 I opened it using the cute silver bar that's attached to the middle of the top of the screen. Now if you look right under the bar there is a seam that connects the front screen plate to the back screen frame thing. When I opened it these two pieces kidna separated, the gap that appeared was about 4-5 inches long so hurrydly I pinched the screen back together. It just poped back together. But now the preoblem is that the bottom of the top lip of the front black plastic frame on the screen (it touches the lcd screen) is seperated from the lcd by maybe just a mm. You can't tell until you close it, if you look parallel to this piece (it's the one with the webcam looking through it), you will see hohw it stays flat all the way accross left to right, on mine the bottom of that lip sticks out coincidently touching the aluminum keyboard causes slight scratches.
Also: the wbecam says that it is not connected anymore, I believe that this happened after the screen came apart, I pulled it apart again to try to get the bottom of the top lip to attach closer/flatter to the lcd screen. Has anyone else had problems with their screens pulling apart simply when opening them?
So far along with the physical problems of the M1530 and the slow as balls "expidited to next day" shipping that I never apparently received after paying 90bucks for it, I have not been very pleased with the quality of the Dell service or products.

Ok, so i tried to take the frant fatia thing off, it appears to have a sticky strip on it so it wouldn't come off all the way. I pushed it all back together but the bottom lip of the top black stip of the fatia sticks out from the screen , is this normal?
and my camera still doesn't work, how can i tell if it's not plugged in?

i had the same problem. The whole fascia just pulls off, but be careful. Try pulling it all off and clipping it back in properly. Webcam might have just come unplugged, have a look!
Dell replaced my screen surround when they came to change the speakers. Had a sticky strip across it which the old one didnt....amazing dell upgrade!!
