latest drivers

Hello. Latest Windows audio driver or the Realtek driver from your model's support page?

If it didn't work in Win7, and then it didn't work after you installed Win10 with its native audio driver, and it still doesn't work after installing the Realtek Win10 audio driver, then it is probably hardware failure.

Contact tech support to have it fixed if you are still under warranty.

Test by switching between the Realtek audio driver and the Windows native audio driver. If it won't work with either driver then probably hardware failure. Here is how:

1. Open the Device Manager (find it in the Control Panel, or type devmgmt.msc into the search box).
2. Expand the "Sound, video & game controllers" and right click on "Realtek High Definition Audio".
3. Select to "Update Driver Software".
4. Click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
5. Click "Let me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
6. Put a check in the box "Show compatible hardware" if not already checked.
7. In the list of devices, click "High Definition Audio" (the native driver).
8. Click "Next".
9. On the Update Driver Warning box, click "Yes" (install the driver).
10. Restart the laptop if prompted. If not prompted, then no need to restart.
[To get back to the Realtek driver, do it again but reverse the names in steps 2 and 7.]

I'm reinstalling my realtek driver right now..and then if it still doesn't work i'll try your advice and tell you if it worked. Untill then, any suggestion about optical drive? It doesn't seem to be working as well i mean..i can't burn..says the drive is busy, and shows that dvd's or cd's are in but not their content. I have to tell you i have windows' driver for that, not an official dell driver. Can you suggest me any driver for HL DT ST DVD+-RW GU90N. Thanks

You don't install a driver for the optical drive. You could try pulling out the drive and re-installing and see if that makes a difference, and try running a lens cleaning disk in it.
