N4030 turns off
Hi,
I have Dell Inspirion N4030. From last couple of weeks, this laptop turns off after using for around 10 mins (in average). Sometimes it lasts 15 mins and some time 2-3 minutes only. The diagnositcs seems to be fine. I opened the laptop to see if the thermal cooling sink's fan works and it seems to be working fine.
Any idea? Where do I look?
Thanks
Paras.

Hi,
I could not update the BIOS since its already the latest, It says can't update the same version .
Booting into the safe mode does not help too. It turns of even though when I am inside the Bios doing Diagnostics.
What should check next?
Thanks
Paras.

Still waiting for the reply. Does changing the motherboard help?
Thanks
Paras.

Hi Paras,
Welcome to the Dell Community Forum.
Please check if the system is overheating. Click on the link below & update BIOS & check.

Also turn on the system in Safe Mode & check if it shuts down in this mode. Tap F8 at startup to go to Safe mode if the Operating system is Windows 7.
