My laptop is not under warranty now.  now the display is distorted with millions of horizontal tiny "dash/hyphen" lines.  when I disabled the graphics card and reduce the resolution the display is just readable.  i am told that the graphics card is gone.  i was also told that you have to change the whole motherboard as the graphics card apparently incorporated in it.  is that true?  What is the best way to sort this problem?  Thanks
