Processor speeds
Is there a huge difference in processor speeds. I was considering getting a new notebook with a 2.2GHz processor, but was wondering if I should spring for the 2.4 and spend a little more. Is there a big difference between the two or does it not really matter?

- Agree with C3PO5, memory over CPU when that close in clock speed.
Sure, there's a difference, but unless your really counting the minutes on hours long-- or seconds on minutes long-- processes then your not missing much. Which can be a point when compiling programs, encoding video/audio, etc. yet not be of much (or any) notice otherwise.
Another point is how graphic cards handle so much of the processing for games and such that CPU power is less of an impact. - Well, the specs I were thinking are:Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 (2.2GHz)Memory: 4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHzVideo Card: 256Mb Geforce 8600M GTI just didn't know if it would make a big difference if I went for the Intel Core 2 Duo T7700 2.4GHz instead of the 2.2

It just say Vista Home Premium, Business, or Ultimate. It doesn't say anything about 32 or 64 bit. Same with the processors. I actually already ordered a computer. Here are the specs:XPS M1530Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7700 (2.4GHz/800MHzFSB, 4M L2 Cache)Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition4GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 Dimm15.4 inch Wide Screen WXGA TrueLife LCD with 2.0 MP Camera256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT160GB 7200RPM SATA Hard DriveSo are you saying it will not read it as having 4GB of memory? And if not, how much will it read?

- HiYou get the 32 bit that is all Dell will put on it!!!The 32 bit OS will not see it all or use what it does not seesome say it can be from 3 to 3.5But i am really not sure what it does come up to and usethe computer bios should see it all but not windows 32 bit !Good Luck
- I did not see the other post where you said you have bought itbut the Vista 64 bit drivers are on the link above !Sorry for not see it before !!
