PROCESSOR UPGRADE
These are the specs basically for my laptop:
-Dell vostro A860
-Intel celeron 560 2.13ghz (p socket)
-mobile intel 965 chipset express chipset family( 128mb video memory)
-windows vista home basic 32-bit
-3g RAM
-120g HDD
I would like to upgrade my processor to intel core 2 duo T5870 which is much faster than the single core I'm using. This is also a P socket processor and voltage almost the same. My warranty has expired so I guess i don't have any issue with dell. I would like to know if my motherboard will support that. I've seen the same notebook from dell using this processor I want to upgrade to. Will this processor be compatible with my computer or which other available duo cores can I upgrade to?
I will buy a new dell but not now that's why I need a slight upgrade in performance. Thanks and waiting for response.

You should be able to use any of the COre 2s on the 800 MHz bus, except for the Extreme Editions. The faster 1066 MHz Core 2 or the new Core i will not work.
