That just means you have the Numeric Lock function turned on which is normal for a lot of systems.  To turn it off, press the blue Fn key plus the F4 key on your internal keyboard. 

This funtion is most often used when external keyboards are attached that have a numeric keypad on the right side of the keyboard.
