Return Policy

I had a I8600 with WXGA, 1.3 P-M, 64MB NVIDIA GeForce FX GO5200, 512Ram, 40Gig hard drive. I used it for a month and after trying to play games an it, I was not impressed with the video card and opted to return it and later reorder with the specs at the bottom. I will reorder with the Radeon video card  and the screen will be WUXGA to name a few changes. I was wondering, if I get the system and I cant get used to the WUXGA even with the changed DPI and font size, can I still return the system a second time or is the 30 day return deal only a one time thing. I remember reading somewhere that you can only return once for a refund. Is this true? If it is what are my other options if I can't get used to the screen. I dont really want to get the WSXGA screen if at all possible. I have never seen the 1900x1200 resolution but I hope that I can get used to it. I see a lot of LCD tvs using the WUXGA resolution and will love watching DVDs on a laptop that is as sharp as some of those TVs. I think I am going to order the new system by the end of the week. Any replys will be greatly appreciated.

PS: I love these forums. They are a great substitute for calling support and having to go from one place to another trying to figure out a simple question. Not to knock the support or anything because most of the time I get the question answered and nobody can match Dells return policys. They are GRRREAT. I have kind of gotten used to talking to people from India anyway, partly from Dell support, and partly form my teacher who is from India. Also not only Dell uses India as a Support Center. Ive called Linksys and other companies and get people from India. I hate when people make fun of Dell for having bad Support when the only problem is the accent. Most of the people I call are extremly nice and are very educated on the subject.

I'm pretty sure you can return all your want! I know that I went through 3 returns, but I had a couple issues (this was when the Hitachi WSXGA problem was huuuuge). I was never told that I couldn't return it again or anything like that.

Also, The WSXGA is beautiful. The font size that is. If you think the XGA is really big, I'd recommend the WUXGA. If you think that XGA is just a bit large, but not overly big, I'd recommend the WSXGA. XGA to SXGA is 50 bucks, but SXGA to UXGA is another 100. In my opinion its a case of diminishing returns (like all technological things I suppose).

You might also try checking out some laptops in stores like Best Buy. They have systems there that you can see for yourself in person. Good luck!

AFAIK, within 30-days you can return no questions asked...within a "reasonable limit".  If you are on your sixth or whatever return, don't expect kind treatment from Dell.  Remember that you are picking up the small shipping cost every time you make a return.

Thanks, that was helpful. By the way Somms, i went to that lunar website, those pictures are purely amazing. The computer i saw them on was a gateway LCD monitor that was using a low  resolution setting and still there were awesome. I cant wait to see them on the WUXGA LCD.
